A vintage 50 years old Yamaha
Owner tried to modify the bridge
Not the neatest work. But that's fine.
The action is still way up there!
The guitar does have a little neck angle issue.
This is the bridge as-is when it came in.
After adjusting the truss rod for proper relief, and calculated how much saddle to lower, thereby knowing how much of bridge material to remove.
Created string slots
Modified bridge.
The action now is spot on. Actually, it was finally brought down to 3/32" after settling it for a day. Not bad for a 50 year old axe.
Beautiful. I love it vintage.
