Guitar Repair #1125 - Bridge Reglue/ Setup - Takamine G-10 - Acoustic

Takamine G-10
This is my second laminated top bridge reglue.
I am hesistant to do this again,
as I highlighted the structural issues after having to clean up the footprint
of the bridge by removing at least one lamination.
Finally, I gave in.
After much cleanup, the centre portion where the bridge pin holes are is split through and through.
Since I'm already here, I fixed the crack...
...slapped a cleat under the bridge
Glue it up and hoped for the best.
Before
After
I had installed 12s on the guitar, tuning up only a whole step short.
The area behind the bridge started peel open slightly.
It stabilised after a few days.
So I re-installed the guitar with 10s,
which when tuned up to pitch will have a similar tension pull on the bridge.
Noticed the inserted glue to close up the gap?
This is the best I could do. But it saved the guitar and it plays great!
Just that, need make-do with 10s.
