Like quite a few Martins that have come through me,
the finish is soft and sticky, attracts fur bits from the case,
takes an imprint from stands, or anything that comes in contact with it.
It's a nuisance to the owners.
But since it's inherent of the finish material, there's nothing much we can do about it.
Short of a refinish, even if a harder finish is applied over it,
it will be a harder finish on top of a soft one.
But just to temporarily rid of the tacky feel,
I level the peeling finish as much as I could,
and applied minimal amount of shellac.
