1973 Hiroshi Tamura P55
This guitar originally came in for a setup.
Upon visual check, I highlighted that the saddle was missing from the bridge.
The strings were sitting on the bridge itself, but it still sounded great!
The owner finally found the saddle few days later.
But that day, he decided to undo the red finish he diy-ed some years back
to hide a long crack from the bass wing of the bridge towards the sound hole.
I'm no sure what finish the was,
but it seems it just didn't bond with the original finish after all these years.
I'm glad I could peel much of that off easily to unveil the original finish, of which I needed to scrap and sand, and repeat until I have a smooth, flat raw wood surface, before applying shellac.
I'm disgust to realise I didn't have a single picture of the final sanded soundboard.

Purfling lines the owner wanted to see again
The crack that wasn't that visible after all.
Superb action for 47 year old!
